About Me

I really honestly like learning about code. Whether that is something as simple as a new method, new testing practice, or a new tool. I'm really self motivated and a passionate programmer.

Open Source

I'm a big believer of the open source movement. I have contributed to and have created many open projects.

Experience

I have spent years learning many languages. My past has been spent with languages such as PHP, ActionScript, and even Visual Basic. My past makes me appreciate the latest developments of the Ruby and JavaScript communities.

I am an experienced Web developer with a diverse background designing and developing applications for mobile devices and the Web. With over ten years experience, I have a deep technology knowledgebase ranging from server administration to testing practices and have worked with small and large teams, as well as world class designers, to produce next generation Web applications. I have been a team leader and individual contributor on projects for clients ranging from small non-profits to Fortune 500 companies.

Notable Accomplishments

I lead the development of the Flash Lite 1.1 language documentation and Flash Lite 2.0 example files for direct inclusion in the high profile release of Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash–version 8, a tool that has previously sold millions of copies and at that time accounted for over 100 million in annual revenue.

I have been recognized as a top subject matter expert with published articles on mobile and Web development and heralded best in class applications which have been chosen from thousands of samples worldwide for executive demos at the both Intel's and Macromedia's developer conference keynote sessions.

I was also selected by Qualcomm to lead development efforts for a first of its kind 3G content portal system for the Verizon Wireless EVDO trials.

I have managed consumer facing development efforts for Kodak.com, Mickeys.com, Manofthehouse.com, Scrippsnetworksinteractive.com and many others.
